Georgia Southern University captured its second consecutive Division 1-AA championship, defeating Montana, 18-16. Running back Adrian Peterson led the way for the Eagles with 148 yards and two touchdowns, including a 4th-quarter 57-yard touchdown run, that put the Eagles up 27-23 and helped to provide GSU's slim victory.
